Cocktails Seafood and Kisses

I seriously can not believe I am 27. When do you start feeling like a grown up? I sure don't. I feel about 22. I guess that's good. You are only as old as you feel. SWEET! Maybe I am just in denial. We'll see!

My birthday started off with a BANG this year. A massive SURPRISE bang to be precise. Mum booked us in ages ago for the 14th of December. She said keep it free for a girls night out. We seriously had no idea where we were going. She kept it a secret until the very end. We arrived at Jupiter's Casino and there were signs for Tap dogs everywhere so we just assumed it was tap dogs....cool. The music started, the lights were on and I waited in anticipation for the tappers. Then 4 men walked out on stage and I seriously lost my sh*t. Human Nature were on a break from their Vegas stage show and were playing only 2 shows in Australia and we were there! They are our favourite band and sneaky squirrel mum had us fooled the whole time. I had the time of my life. They played all their old classics, plus motown, plus some Christmas songs! It was FANTASTIC! Thank You mumma for a truly awesome night! I danced and sung my little heart out! You rock!

I came home Friday night to an empty house. Rob went out fishing and I was a bit down that I was going to wake up alone on my birthday. I showered and went to bed. I heard the doors unlock and footsteps to our room. I looked at the clock and it was 12.04am. He made it! Just in time for my birthday. He kissed me hello and I was so happy that he was there and would be waking up next to my favourite person on my birthday. He then took my breath away by surprising me with this stunning ring.

I was in complete awe! My husband...the charmer! What a truly unique and stunning ring!

I had been completely spoiled beyond belief and my birthday hadn't even arrived yet. We had a nice sleep in and my Dad brought over some breakfast for me! We spent the morning together. Just hanging out and talking. Best start to the day. After lunch a few friends came over and we had cocktails and seafood by the pool. It was honestly the best way to spend the afternoon. All of my favourite people just chilling, laughing, having fun. It was perfect and I couldn't of asked for a better day.

My birthday fell on a Saturday this year and this particular Saturday in 2012 was extra special because it had been 10 years since Rob and I met. 10 years ago I met this spunk!
